Chopin's Etudes stand alone in their uncanny pianistic intuitive demands. Lev Vinocour offers with this recording the first ever that observes those demands in a congenialand authentical manner.

On the occasion of the anniversary of Schumann on 8 June (200th birthday), the pianist Lev Vinocour ORF recorded together with the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Johannes Wildner Robert Schumann's complete works for piano and orchestra (his own works and adaptations of foreign works). The 3 CD set includes the well-known works including five world-premiere recordings (Invented in A minor, Thème sur le nom "ABEGG," Piano Concerto in F Major, Concerto Movement in A minor by Clara Wieck, and the Concerto in F minor of Henselt).

The ballet music for "Sleeping Beauty" is one of the most valuable and wonderful, what has Peter Tchaikovsky composed for large orchestra. The beautiful melodies, the drama and richness of the colors of the music have always inspired piano editor.
For example Mikhail Pletnev or Theodor Kirchner (world premiere recording!). And last but not least Lev Vinocour itself controls on this Hybrid Super Audio CD, the rousing apotheosis in which he wrote to Franz Liszt's short piece "Vive Henri IV".
